David Crowder Band – MSN Artist of the Year
I didn’t see this coming. I know earlier in the year there were a couple of their songs doing fairly well on the downloading charts, but Artist of the Year? And it’s not like they weren’t up against popular musicians. They beat out the likes of INXS, Prince, Christina Aguliera and Kenny Chesney.
They’ve single-handedly redefined what contemporary Christian music should sound like…and earned your vote for 2006′s Artist of the Year.

Have you checked out Leeland at all? Not quite DCB, but still good. Why aren’t there more Crowder-like bands (not from a sound/style perspective, but from a creativity/excellence perspective).
