True that. The community organizer bashing was way out of line. We need more community organizing than ever, especially since our government (on all levels from Presidents to Mayors – see news about several different corruption cases against mayors in the country including our Palin friend) is all about abusing power and not about giving real people a chance at the “American Dream”. I also think it is interesting that the Republicans never mention that Obama was doing “faith-based” community organizing, working with local churches to help the poor and working class to get employment and homes. Who was it that was promoting more “faith-based” community organizing a couple years ago? Oh yes, it was the republicans – I guess that is all a joke now. Maybe it always was joke – pandering to the faith-community as usual… just for votes.

i don’t know what i would wait for though. i realize that a lot can happen between now and the debates, but right now as far as what the republicans have been talking about (drilling alaska, fighting a war when we don’t even know what we’re fighting for anymore, etc. nothing different from what we’ve had the last 8 grueling years) i just can’t get on board with that. not to mention the “community organizer” bashing they did at the RNC. can someone please explain to be what is wrong with a community organizer?

Amen! I couldn’t believe that they were encourageing the drilling – ur right that won’t solve anything – and I agree with you I don’t believe that they will find alternate energy.

I think you need to be patient and wait for the upcoming presidential debates. There is way too much “me” in politics and society today. Basically anyway you look at it they are all thugs and thieves and would promise you the world if you believed in them. Government is out of control period.

I had to turn it off. It made me want to throw something at the television. It is so depressing. Check out this article though – it may raise your spirits. There’s a lot of White people who really care about this country, not just politics and money. Some of the comments are insightful too. GO IOWA GO!

I agree with you completely. The Republicans are meaner than the Democrats. I hope that’s not a winning quality in this country but I fear it might be.
